Production Manager

Job Type: Full-time
Location: Armadale VIC 3143

Your role will be to manage the following:

  • Manage and oversee product critical path (in line with business strategy) and all internal production and development systems (past, current and future)
  • Manage and facilitate, with the Design Assistant, all product meeting requirements including concept design, range planning, range review and buy plan meetings with the Product Team
  • Keep relevant departments / staff members across the business up to date with all changes to critical path and stock movements
  • Manage and oversee all supply chain relationships, onboarding training and all other purchasing requirements
  • Negotiate raw materials, production space, sampling, unit cost, MOQs, FOB costing, EX dates and other freight / logistics required. All whilst aiming for the best possible margins for both B2B & B2C arms of the business
  • Calculate product landed costings and ensure that target margins are met. Work with planning and finance team to negotiate and raise all new purchase orders
  • Source factories and manage development of new product ranges that meet the company’s quality and innovation standards
  • Undertake and report on supply chain audits as required
  • Perform rigorous product assessment and quality control as part of any product development. Including document planning, market feedback, ad testing, labelling as required by various regions, and product and metal / fabric testing to meet the company’s standards. Discuss and workshop solutions with Product and Operations Teams any problems that may arise with received stock
  • Report weekly on product / collections performance (margins, sell through, SOH etc.)
  • Lead and facilitate internal product training sessions to ensure all staff are aware of production processes, material specifications and care instructions
  • Ensure all supply chain contracts, Terms & Conditions of trading, manuals and processes are up to date and filed correctly
  • Manage production of range samples required for PR, photoshoots and sales agents within required timeframes and budgets
  • Assist with planning of campaign and ecommerce photoshoots
  • Manage VM, Packaging and POS production, development and inventory and ensure that target margins are met
  • Manage the receipt of all new product, packaging and VM deliveries with the support of the Design Assistant
  • Input all new product data into the inventory system and ensure information is always accurate (this includes assigning products to the correct categories, attributes, ranges, product names, SKUs, descriptions and Wholesale / Retail prices)
  • Input new purchase orders into the inventory system and plan quantity allocation by branch
  • Manage daily branch transfers to optimize sell through by adjusting allocation of SOH. Communicate stock movement to relevant staff
  • Lead Product Team with all current and future product planning, keeping track of upcoming budgets and category sell through performance
  • Work with the Marketing & Operations team on markdown strategies to ensure minimum profit margins are met
  • Manage relationships with forwarders and freight providers to ensure competitive rates and cost-effective methods (Air vs. Sea)
  • Oversee logistics of all deliveries (inbound and outbound) ensuring all correct information, packing slip, commercial invoice and COO are supplied. A minimum of two quotes is required before selection of a delivery option.

Jewellery Design Assistant

Job Type: Full-time
Location: Armadale VIC 3143

This role will be to assist the Creative Director with all product design and forecasting requirements, and also support the Production Team with parts of the sampling process.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the products are developed in line with the designer’s vision and direction.

You must have previous experience sketching, drawing on Adobe Suite applications, and the confidence required to liaise with production suppliers to ensure design specs are as per requirements.

You will also be required to support the Marketing & Sales Teams with all graphic design requirements, assist the Production Team with performing quality checks on samples and final products, and will play a key role in our team strategy meetings by reporting on trends.

Attention to detail, proactiveness and great time management skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with the Creative Director, Production Team and Suppliers (local and offshore) to design and deliver a minimum of six collections per year, ensuring deadlines on the product critical path are met every time.
  • Design detailed, clear and accurate spec-sheets and appropriately document all changes and comments throughout the development process.
  • Brief internal and external stakeholders on all product related activities.
  • Manage the critical path in collaboration with the Production Team and meet weekly to review its progress and accuracy.
  • Produce industry trends, forecasting and competitors’ analysis reports as requested by the Creative Director. Reporting on activity for different product categories will also be required from time to time.
  • Drive range brief / brainstorm meetings in collaboration with the Creative Director, followed by written reports.
  • Mediate the range review meetings with support of the Production Team.
  • Assist other departments with all visual / graphic design requirements such as packaging, VM, retail signage, mailouts, looks books, catalogues etc.
  • Support the Creative Director and Marketing Manager with conception, planning and supervising our campaign photoshoots (including mood boards, creative / styling briefs and team call sheets).
  • Keep the ‘inspiration library’ up to date and organised.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure you are aware of all events that could impact style development and deadlines.
  • Manage the sampling area, design archives and the filing activity of all product related information.

Boutique Sales Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast growing & globally recognised fashion jewellery brand as our Boutique sales assistant.

Based at our head office/showroom in Armadale – joining a vibrant, small & dynamic team with the opportunity for scope and development within the industry.

Nicole Fendel is an established jewellery & lifestyle label; importing and exporting product through wholesale, e-commerce and retail channels. Our head office serves as a retail store, warehouse and e-commerce distribution centre.

We are looking for a sales driven, vibrant and organised individual to join our team in Armadale with the main responsibilities being customer service within the Nicole Fendel Boutique/showroom and supporting the office where needed.

Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, the person we are looking for needs to have previous experience in retail/customer service, great communication skills, be extremely organised and have the ability to multi-task.

This position requires availability from Tuesday – Saturday

Immediate start is available.

Main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Driving sales
  • Demonstrate exceptional relationship building skills as you will be working closely with VIP clients and building a strong VIP database
  • Being creative through visual merchandising and window styling
  • Being responsible for achieving and exceeding your daily, weekly and monthly budgets
  • Replenishment and care of stock on a daily basis
  • Ensuring the boutique and stock is always looking immaculate
  • Participate in and assist with product nights, holiday events and sales when required
  • Oversee showroom supplies & inventory
  • Logistics & dispatch assistance when needed
  • Weekly data entry support & wholesale sales support (where required)
  • Assisting in quarterly stocktake of all VM & stock
