The Designer
Raised in Western Australia alongside the iconic and relaxed Australian beaches, jewellery designer Nicole Fendel relocated to the fashion-forward city of Melbourne in 2003. A young and vibrant Fendel started her career initially as an interior architect, before following her true passion of jewellery design and launching her eponymous label soon after in 2005. She’s always found inspiration in her South African heritage, with her constant travels abroad, adventures and relationships continuing to fuel her with new ideas and motivation for her collections. In just six short years, Fendel has transformed her label from a part-time passion to a globally recognized brand. The future is looking fashionably bright for Nicole Fendel Jewellery (NFJ) and its flourishing name sake.
The Label
NFJ’s feminine, striking and sophisticated collections were available in premium boutiques around the country within the first year of launch and regularly feature in the best Australian fashion magazines. Each new collection incorporates a culmination of Fendel’s life experiences and travels, sourcing inspiration and materials from around the globe. The label’s signature cut-out earrings, precious cocktail rings and beautiful pendants with poetic engravings have struck a chord with women throughout Australia, and with international celebrity clientele including Oprah, Jennifer Hawkins, Kristy Hinze, Isabelle Lucas and Jessica Hart. NFJ’s success has continued overseas, taking the UK and Europe by storm. The label recently featured in British Vogue, Elle and Tatler, and is also now stocked internationally in-store and online.
